How much is membership?
Is it a 20% discount on all treatments?
Dentists may then choose to provide 20% off a range of treatments from the treatment list. Not all dentists offer all types of treatment.
With more complex treatments the dentist may offer a 10% or 20% discount due to the additional cost in time required to provide these treatments as well as possible lab bills that are incurred.
Where the discount is 10% rather than the standard 20%, this is stated in the treatment description.
Fees are discounted on the dentist’s RRP which will vary depending on the provider.
What devices does your web app run on?
The AP Care web app is optimised to look best on mobile. As it is a web app it runs on most browsers and devices.
How do I refer a friend?
You can refer friends and family members via the web app, they get 20% off annual membership using a referral code. For 3 referrals signing up you get your next year’s membership for free.
How do I use my referral code?

Once you have joined, show your treating dentist your membership status in our web app for verification and discount to be applied manually in practice. Discounts may not be applied over the phone until membership has been verified on the app.

- Hygienists may also be on the platform providing hygiene and whitening only.
- Clinical Denture technicians on the platform provide dentures (false teeth) only. Note, these are not the screw in implants.

After visiting a practice please leave a review on the practice profile in the web app.
What is the root canal 1-5, 5 to 8?
6-7 refers to back teeth called molars. These are often more complex to root canal and may require referral to a specialist.
How do I re-subscribe if I cancel before my subscription ends?

Can I combine my AP Care discount with other offers?
I have a treatment plan elsewhere. Can I go directly for treatment at an AP Care network practice?
Often the dentist would like to do their own examination first to ensure they agree with the treatment plan. Your dentist will then most likely book a suitable amount of time for treatment on a separate occasion.
Any x-rays or notes you can provide directly to the practice will help them.
How is my discount applied when calling/booking online?
For new patients, you should book a new patient examination at the normal non-discounted price. Only a partial deposit is taken.
When you arrive at the practice and have verified membership your 20% discount will be applied, and the remaining money paid directly to the practice.
E.g. £50 new practice exam booked online. £25 deposit taken. Once in surgery you have verified membership, this exam is reduced to £40 and the remaining £15 is paid to the practice in person.
Please note discounts will be applied only when membership is verified in practice.
Can members get 20% off NHS treatment?
When you arrive at the practice and have verified membership your 20% discount will be applied, and the remaining money paid directly to the practice.

When can I start receiving discounts on dental work?

How do I sign up?
One practice manager/owner can administer multiple practices. We currently only allow one administrator per practice.
Do all the dentists in the practice have to join?
Please ensure dentists joining have space to book in patients prior to joining.
Does AP Care replace my plan provider?
How do I add a dentist/hygienist/CDT?
- Please login to the dentist portal. The practice manager/owner is then able to add or remove staff members.
- Click on the add/remove staff button for the practice you would like to amend. (Multiple practices can be administered per account)
- Type in the name, and GDC number and select the clinician’s role.
- CDT/Hygienist auto-populate with treatment that may be discounted.
- CDT is dentures only
- The hygienist is hygiene only.
- Dentists appear with 4 core treatments all dentists must offer to be on the platform which are examinations, fillings, non-surgical extractions and intra-oral x-rays.
- Please click add treatment to add additional treatment options.
- Once all options are selected, click add staff.
Why do you ask for a utility bill?
Is there any charge for my practice?
How do I verify patient membership to give a discount?
How do I apply the patient's discount?
Please manually verify the patient’s membership from their web app at the start of the appointment.
At the end of treatment planning please manually reduce the fee by 20% (certain procedures are 10% which you select when adding a dentist). Please record the pre and post-discount prices in notes to avoid any confusion or doubt.
We also advise the dentist to verbally confirm the pre and post-discount pricing with the patient.
How do I verify patient membership to give a discount?
Why has my practice not been approved yet?
We are launching in Nottingham and Derby. If you are out of this catchment, we will be approving practices as we launch in your area. Please email us if you have any questions or are keen to speed up rollout in your area.

What type of practice is suitable for AP Care?
You must be willing to provide 20% discounts on our core service of examinations, small x-rays, fillings and non-surgical extractions. We have a menu of additional services which you are willing to discount for AP Care members.
